In at Gulf Islands National Seashore

Didn't sleep awfly well last night, it was hot and humid, plus we picked up an hour's time by crossing into central time zone-  I was up at 4 ish and puttered around-  They by 6 we were both up, walked next door to the Pilot for coffee and to scope out if they had air hoses since I was showing one tire a little low in air, they did, so we filled up and will monitor it, well our Tire Pressure System monitors will.

Today's route was short, from Marianna Florida over to our campsite here at Gulf Islands National Seashore at Gulf Breeze Florida.

Did about 150 miles, 8.1 mpg, and arrived and got all settled in by 1115 or so- it turns out our space is smallish, so the park host is checking to see if he can get us larger accomodations so we can at least park the car on the same pad-  have to wait and see.

Came over in gloomy cloudy conditions-  it sort of spit rain just once for a little bit-

Saw several new water tanks for the collection:
DeFuniak Springs, Fl.  Nicely painted all spiffy-
This one was named Midway- aptly named, I'm sure
Fairpoint Regional Utilities tank-
Pensacola Beach Fl made up to look like a beach ball-  cute....

Just as we left Marianna Florida, obviously at a big distribution center for Family Dollar Stores

We managed to see our traditional rest area trademark, the Blue Angels plane near Pensacola:

The approaches to the Gulf Island National Seashore is over a nice new bridge, used Sun Pass to get over it

The National Park itself is on a 4/5 mile strip of non-commercialized part of the island, very remote, has beach side and bayside access-  we have a 50 amp water site, no sewer, for now.

Plan for the day is to wait and see if we are to be moved, then head out to the three stamping locations I have on the island proper and one, Naval Live Oaks, off the island to go stamping to.  More report on that later.
