March 31st Busy Fort Day

Lots of school groups today-  did 5 cannon shots, a couple of Room 5's.  Have to work tomorrow for a bit due to being short handed.

March 31st Pretty good plate month

Pretty good plate watching month- saw 48/51 plates, missing Hawaii and Wyoming

For Canada, Saw 7 provinces, including Labrador and Newfoundland  and PEI.

March 29th

Quiet day at the Fort today, Just one school group!  Did Room 5 for most of the day-  102 visitors were present.

March 24th

Nice weather day at the Fort  High in low 70's  Did a Ranger Talk at 0930.  5 Cannon Shots.  Tons of school kids. Saw these plates today:

 

Got to call Bingo tonight, then have a changing of the guard downtown tomorrow. 

March 22nd

Busy hot day Forting today.  Gave a Ranger talk in room 5 today. Heading out to dinner tonight at Osteen's with Wendy and Steve!  Yay!

March 21st

After Liars Club this morning, went and got a haircut and beard trim.  Then, down to Fort Matanzas NM for a training walk on the flora and fauna, and a survey of the damage done from the recent hurricane last October. I had no idea!  There were 5 of us, and it was terrific!
Then subway for lunch-  now home catching up on trip planning and filing.

Nicer weather day today-  lower 70's. Combination of sally port, room 5, and Junior Ranger duty.  Saw this plate today:

March 18th

Busy Fort Friday-  nicer weather-  near 70.  Not too many school groups today.  5 cannon and 2 musket shoots today. 

It's Bike week in Daytona this week, so lots of new cycle plates this week.

 

 

Today is a saunter day downtown.  Weather should be pleasant. 

March15th

Busy for a Fort Wednesday.  Spring breakers plus Bike week.  Lots of kids!  Cold snap never really got above 55 today.

Bette is off to see the Ortho PA from her fall last week. Doing trip planning stuff this week. 

March 13th

Wound up being a stretch day at the Fort today-  Worked until 4-  stayed pretty much all day in Room 5.  Over 400 visitor interactions!. Bit of rain as well.
