June 14th Over to St Louis

Up at a reasonable hour, and headed down I-435 and I-70 over to St Louis.  about 265 miles.

Our first stop was a local restaurant, Rigazzis, where we were able to meet up with Sister Sherry and Fred!  Great restaurant, and they treated!  They both looked very well- 

A seated statue of Al Capone is a local famous part of the restaurant.

Then, we headed over to O'Fallon Il., to our motel for the night, a Days Inn.  Rested for a couple of hours, then to Busch Stadium

Cooper had a bad cough, so he stayed in and rested, and Brandon and I went to the game.

We had upper level 4th tier streets, in section 431, on the front row. 

Back to the motel, then tomorrow, we are headed home 2 days early!

June 13 On to Kansas City

About 257 miles today-  Mostly uneventful- 

Did see a fun water jug in Nebraska on the way down:  made to resemble a teapot-

First stop was in St Joseph Mo, so I could get stamps from the Pony Express Museum- Only got one new one.....

Then to our hotel, the Howard Johnson's, about 7 miles from the stadium: On the third floor.

Ran the car to a Honda dealer, to check on the air conditioning-  the car was running hot- turns out we didn't have the AC button properly engaged-  the light is out, so we were guessing-  no charge repair!

Resting up a bit, then on to tonight's game at Kauffman Field The Royals vs the Indians...

 

Tomorrow, we head on over to St Louis to have lunch with sister Sherry, and then to a Cardinal game at Busch stadium...  Yay!
