September 30th Still in Phoenix...

Still in Phoenix at Mesa Spirit.  Later this afternoon, around 5 or so, over to Buckeye, Az. Wal Mart for the night.  

About an hour or so, 51 miles.

September 28th Over to Phoenix...

Left Parker AZ. early this morning, after stopping at McDonald's for breakfast, 

Then, a slog over to Phoenix, 182.0 miles, max speed 58 mph, mov Avg 48 mph, total time: 4:55.

After we arrived, we headed over to In and Out Burgers for lunch:

Then, over to Chase Field, home of the Arizona Diamondbacks, for a revisit:

Tomorrow, we are having lunch with Ellie Hildenbrand whom we knew from Maine camping. 

Did have lunch with Miss Ellie at Riga Tony's in Tempe!

Also stopped by ASU Bookstore and Wal Mart on the way home:

Another happy fill up story:  Fuel in Arizona is cheaper:  Stopped in Salome Arizona, on the way over, and put in 11.836 gals @3.199 a gal., for $35.30!

It was a Chevron.

September 28th Over to Parker Az today.

Today, after going to get coffee, we headed over to Douglas Arizona, ostensibly to a Wal Mart, but we were told that they no longer allowed overnite parking.  So we headed up the street to a Casino, where we are now. Saw these scenes on the way over:

Afterwards, I headed over to the Bill Williams River NWR, and got two stamps.

Ate Lunch at a Subway, then fueled up at an ARCO- We were just below 1/2 full, which took about 12 gallons or so @3.89 a gal, or $47.81  In the Monaco, a half a tank would have been 50 gallons, at over $150 dollars!  Loving our fuel economy
