Been very warm the last two days- near 90- Must be near time to head north!

Went to men's lunch yesterday, first time in almost a month.  Went to Ned's. 

Today is a Fort day.  Longer day, cause it's a cannon day.  5 shots today.

April 26th

Successful first half of stress test today at Heart Doc-  main issue was no food or coffee until 10 am.  Managed to get some shopping done in the interim as well.  Have to go at dark thirty in the morning to do the back half.  Then to the Fort.

April 25th

Quiet Fort day today-  no more free days, good to rest a bit.

Tomorrow, I have my biannual nuclear stress test for my heart history-  not anticipating anything unusual.  Worst part is I have to fast, and can't have any coffee until about 11 am.

April 24th

Worked both weekend days at the Fort this weekend-  Sat was a Castillo by Candlelight event, plus about 6800 visitors, since it was a free entry day. 

This morning, I went up to Jacksonville to see a Dental Surgeon, so I could get my #10 tooth removed. They broke my temporary crown, had to make a new one, and got the job done.  Just took almost 3 hours-  So I was late getting into the fort today-  Big crowd, pretty weather day.

Tomorrow, Wed and Fri are Fort days, Tuesday morning I have a nuclear stress test, biannual test, with a follow up Wed morning early. 

April 22nd

Slam dunk at the Fort today-  had a record amount of school kids-  plus 5 cannon firings... whew!   Will work tomorrow additionally, since we are having a special event at the fort - another Castillo by Candlelight ceremony.  Plus all week, admission has been free-

We are surrounded  by some wicked looking weather-  just spotty rain so far. 

Also have some major dentist work tomorrow-  pulling two front teeth, then a 4 tooth bridge going in.  Got to be done before we leave! 

April 21st

Good safe trip back to St Augustine-  left at about 1230, home by 745 pm.  353 miles, couple of stops-  no traffic at all, no delays!

Couple of chores today to close out Lander stuff, Fort tomorrow.  Back to the routine! 

April 19th

Well, my Lander kids really came through-  We completed all the final project submissions today, so my Lander classes are done for 343.  Just the final exams to be submitted for 101. 

Net effect is we will head home now Wed. afternoon instead of Thursday.  Dinner out with family tonight, then lunch tomorrow with pals, then head back to Florida around 1230 or so, getting home before dark we hope.

This past Saturday, we had a "Stroll" down St George Street, as an associate member of the Garrison, we walk up and down the street for a couple of hours, and share photo ops and the history of St Augustine, which we do once a month or so.  Great fun- 

April 15th

Won't be forting today, as one of my neighbor buddies, is having his 80th birthday today, and we are taking him out to lunch.

Got a second opinion yesterday on my teeth program, and will wind up going with the new dentist-  They can do it all in one day, and lots cheaper to boot.  I'll ask Sat am if they can take over the other work and get that done as well. 

Leaving for SC early Sunday morning-  May come back either Thursday after class or Friday morning- up to Bette.

Plans are to head to the Fort tomorrow, dressed out, since they are having a "stroll" event downtown at 6 pm- where we all interact with visitors-  have to see how I fell after the dental work. 

April 12th

Pretty Fort day yesterday, beautiful breezy weather, and lots of nice visitors.

Busy beautiful day at the Fort today, lots of Floridians visited today-  Next Saturday, I will be dressing out and we do what is called a Saunter down St George Street in the evening. Sunday, we leave for Greenwood for several days.

April 9th

Finally recovered from the crud.  Went to the Fort yesterday, beautiful and busy day- Lots of kid groups.  5 Successful canon firings.

The big Coquina Yard Sale was yesterday and today, we sold almost 400 dollars worth of stuff!  More stuff not to move if the house sells. 

Just 10 more days before we head up to SC for a few days while I do my Lander professoring. 

Off to the grocery store soon, then lots of good baseball this afternoon!  Fort tomorrow. 

April 2nd

Well, I seem to have a light case of Bette's illness, not coughing nearly as bad as she was, terrific headache-  missing volunteer turns, pretty much bedridden.  Thank goodness baseball season starts tomorrow!

Saw 56/62 plates for the month of March-  All of US except Wyoming and Utah- Saw Hawaii twice in the month!  Saw 5 Canadian Provinces, plus a Panama and a new Puerto Rico, so it was a pretty good month!
