July 15th Short run into El Paso today.....

Thanks to our efforts yesterday, we have a short run into El Paso today.  Only about 121 miles or so, and about 2 hours.

We'll be stopping at a Wal Mart just 2.5 miles from Mary Ann's house, and may shorten our stay.

Today, we have tickets for the El Paso Chihuahuas game!  Starts at 605, may rain though.
Did quit in the 4th inning of tonight's game, and hour and 40 minute rain delay to start:

A "little" cooler today:

Managed to make it to a close by Wal Mart to Mary Anne, then decided to make it to Chamizal N Mem, where I got six stamps, and shop for a bit in Wal Mart.

Didn't buy anything, just groceries.  We also visited a Bank of America in the parking lot and got some cash.

Off to the game with the Rosenbergs in a few.

July 14th On over to Van Horn, Texas.

Today is a short jaunt over to Van Horn, Tx.     Just 295.2 miles   miles, thanks to Bette and her concerns.  Max speed 69 mph mov Avg 57 mph, Total time of travel: 6:41 Fuel Consumption Avg: 7.2 mpg 31 gals used.  Did a fill up at a half tank, 131.01

As you can see, we don't have much on the schedule for Midland, a stop at the Bush 44 childhood home, then a stop in at the Midland Rockhounds Ballfield, a new stop,
Then, we thought we were headed to Pecos Texas to a Wal Mart, but that was the smallest parking lot we've ever seen!  So instead, we headed into Van Horn Texas, and stayed at the Oasis RV.  FHU, $27.00 a night. Wanted to rest the generator.  So were good to go.  As far as the future, we may cut down our time in El Paso, and arrive a bit early for Tucson.

Got a stamp, ball and pin for this stop.

July 11th Out for lunch and dinner today!

Today, we met Hazel, Bette's old boss, and her cousin Edna at Cracker Barrel on I35ES.
Bette and I had kid's chicken fingers, they had Chicken Pot Pie.  Very good!

Then, we stopped in at Wal Mart to order pills, and do some shopping.
For some reason, they didn't have our insurance just so, so it took about 30-45 minutes to work out.

Shortly, we are on our way to a Pizza house in McKinney  to see all the Raffa family!

Really looking forward to our dinner!

Saw this plate today:

Tomorrow, the plan is to have TC to come over, and assist with the new mirror placement, then perhaps a run over to the old Plano house, then a visit with the Legg family to see Law play a basketball game and deliver some old photos I found of Natalie.
