Monday morning, we pulled up stakes and headed about 41 miles over to Saddlebrook Campground, our home for the next week or so in Northwoods, NH, which is a few miles from Durham, NH, home of the Univ of New Hampshire.
We have a quiet little campground, with just 20 spots, delightful owners, and peace and quiet. Not much for Cooper to do, so we'll have to adjust that way.
The first day, I took him up the road to a fun place, and he did the arcade, the lazer tag, and the little race cars, and had a blast for several hours.
Our spot here at Saddlebrook was a bit of a challenge, the spot is for sure not level, which we were told about, is only 30 amp, and no sewer. On the plus side, we have the Passport America rate of 15 a night, so its a trade off. Les, the owner, helped me out with setting up, and went and got wood and cinder blocks to help us get level, so it's fine. We did just have a big power failure, and currently are running off the generator as we speak.
Les says when he gets his bulldozer repaired, he will level off this spot. We would come here again!
We are on the skirts of a terrific rainstorm that is passing through, which is needed, to cool things down, it was record heat around here today. High 90's.
We're on the right side of the map over near Dover- the worst has passed, just "green" rain now.
Tomorrow, we are going to run down to Dracut and Lowell Mass to see Lowell NHP and the Colagiovannis.
Thursday is the ball game with the Fisher Cats and the Sea Dogs. Friday, we are running back over to Wells to see the Ritz's, then Saturday, we are having Last Supper with Cooper before he boards his plane Sunday morning for Greenwood.
