Bette started out the running this morning by heading out to Wal Mart for provisions, while I worked on class stuff.
Then, I went over to Lander campus to get my parking sticker, change my Federal withholdings, and spend a few minutes with the IT folks, then over to pick up Cooper from school, then at 545, ran him over to soccer practice.
Full Grandfather duties today.
Tomorrow, have a faculty breakfast and an opening faculty meeting at Lander, then our annual birthday dinner with Bev and Dave at Applebees at 5:30.
Got the bid back from the fellow for the potential replacement of the house air conditioning system, and he was a thousand dollars less expensive than our other bid, which I suspect is due to our knowing him. The main house system is now 13 years old, and well, may go tomorrow, or may last another 10 years.....
We also heard from our pals at Bank of the West, who are the co-owners of our new motor home. They were calling to inquire why our payment was "late." Turns out in fact they had the paperwork in front of them we filled out for automatic withdrawal, but gee, they didn't get page 2. At least the person who called spoke good English, and we seemed to solve the problem, after we faxed in new copies. Just a glitch, I'm hoping, and that our credit rating didn't drop 30 points as a result. Bette had already noticed that the withdrawal hadn't hit the account and was going to call them today to ask about it. Deja vu!
Still keeping a weather eye out for Irene, looking more and more like its going to skirt Florida anyway.....
