Cooper and Brandon talked me into taking them to Emerald High last night for a game between the Vikings and the 96 Wildcats. 96 stopped a furious rally to win 19-14. Sadly, Emerald beat themselves, several turnovers, and many costly penalties helped them get behind. To their credit, they didn't quit, and were driving at the very end before an interception finished them off.
The Ware Shoals Hornets got spanked pretty good last night 45-27 over at Camden. Going to be a very very long season for WS. They have a new coach, a new scheme, and some pretty nasty opponents.
Bette went up to Bev and Dave's shop to play around on Friday, while I worked on Lander stuff. I'm just about ready for classes, which will meet on next Thursday and Friday for orientation, then we go on line full time.
I've got the Ohio trip pretty well buttoned up- made reservations for Forest Lake yesterday at Advance, where we'll stay for 2.5 days on the way back. One of our old neighbors from New Jersey lives near, it turns out, so we'll visit.
Big Sunday family breakfast tomorrow I hope....
