Huntsville Stars win, maybe 300 people there.....

After visiting the Space Center, we made our way over to Joe Davis Field, parked the motor home, and headed on it to watch the Huntsville Stars beat the Carolina Mudcats tonight.  Cooper was an absolute all star tonight, he got 5 balls, and a t-shirt from a t-shirt toss.  It was beastly hot for most of the game.  Sadly, there were not many folks there, but that was a good thing, as it helped him get his 5 balls.  While we were there, I got a facebook message from Cantalina Ontiveros, one of my former students from Newberry College, who it turns out lives less than five minutes from the stadium.  She and her brother Alex dropped by at the end of our visit in the 8th inning, and we went out to Applebee's for a quick snack for Cooper and we all shared a slider appetizer.  It was terrific seeing Cat again, and her brother Alex is a very nice young man.  They are a quality set of siblings!  After our chat, they were totally nice enough to lead us up the mountain to Monte Sano State Park, and help us get through the gate and into a spot for the night.  So far, the dadgummed 30 amp power is not supporting the air conditioning use, and we keep blowing the main breaker at the box.  Nuts. The idea was not to run the generator tonight, since we ran it most of the day during our visit to the space camp.  Fooey.  Not sure if we're just pulling too much juice, or there is low amperage at our site.

Tomorrow, we have a busy day, several stops planned- First will be Scottsboro, so I can visit the Unclaimed Luggage Factory, then two stops about 40 miles apart for 2 National Parks, and finally, we'll arrive at Rome Georgia for a baseball game tomorrow night.  Then it's on to Kennesaw for a motor oil change for the coach, and a visit to Camping World to get the outside steps sensor repaired, and to see Brother Bill at the Toy Store.
