July 24th Yuma local today....

Think I'll start by heading out to the Imperial NWR for a blue goose stamp.  It wouldn't load in the gps, so I'll call ahead and get directions.  This by far is one of the more remote nwr I've ever visited!

On the way to Imperial, I went  by the Yuma Proving Ground:


I was startled by guys parachuting in-  they were in civilian clothes.  The proving grounds are 870,000 acres in the desert!




As a bonus, I also got Kofa NWR.  
Saw 3 wild burros!





Then two stops on the Yuma Crossing NHA; the HQ building, and the Quartermaster Depot SHS location:
