Got to Jersey, but the hard way. I argued with the GPS and took the wrong I-87 South and wound up coming over the George Washington Bridge in rush hour, which we did not want to do.
Took I-95, I-495, I-90, I-84, I-684, failed to go over the new Tappan Zee Bridge, which we knew to do, took the wrong I-87 South, then the Cross Bronx over the GWB, then down the I-95 Jersey Turnpike to our spot for the evening, Camp Wal Mart at Trenton, NJ.
Tale of the Garmin for the day: 357.8 miles, Max speed 71 (I'm driving, not Bette) Moving average 51 mph overall avg 37 mph, total moving time 6:56 Total trip time: 9:44. Fuel consumption: 7.5 gals per mile, used 46 gallons.
Tomorrow is a rest day pretty much, going to the NJ state capitol and to another site in Trenton. Saturday is the train into NYC for some stamping sites, Sunday is Philadelphia for the same.
Nice to have Tracy with us for the week.
Saw these plates in the campground yesterday, and several on the way down today.
