Caught an early train, 0724 for the city, got delayed due to track repair, then the stupid #1 subway didn't run to South Ferry, so I had to walk a mile and a half, went to Castle Clinton, then walked over to the Governor's Island Ferry, which I had missed the 10 o clock ferry, caught the 11am, then got the new stamps for me over there, and made it back to the same ferry. Then caught the #4 subway up to Brooklyn Bridge stop, then walked up to the African American Burial Ground NM, got the 3 stamps there I needed, then tried to walk down to the #2 train, got lost as hell, and had to resort to a 15.00 taxi ride to fix it, so I could go to a new monument for me, the Stonewall NM, which is a monument to the LGBT movement. Then, caught the #3 train back to Penn Station, and caught an early train home, Bette picked me up, and we'll rest tonight, then we head down to Cape May Area NJ tomorrow for 6 days.
Highlight of the day for me was first visit to Governor's Island, and a different view for me of the 1 World Trade Center. I forgot my camera, so crap. Frustration of the day was that the Rangers were not out at Stonewall NM, and the stamps were not out at the other locations they were supposed to be, so I didn't get the stamps.
Saw this one plate today:
