June 7th In metro Chicagoland

After 319 miles, and a couple of stops, we are in our hotel in Lombard Illinois-  8 new counties today-  6 in Michigan and 2 in Indiana-

First stop was the Gerald Ford Library, another stop on the Presidential libraries tour:

 

Got the Presidential Library Stamp, but they did not have a gift shop so no pin.

 

Next stop was the Indiana Dunes National Seashore, got 3 stamps and a pin there:

 

 

Then, a run over to Gary Indiana, for a ball and pin at the Gary Railcats, which are an independent league team of the American Association.  Gary is a town in real decline, sadly.

 

 

Last stop for the day was our hotel for next three days, the Fairfield Inn in Lombard, Illinois, a Chicago suburb:
