Per plan, we headed 6 miles down the road to Lincolnville Ferry Port, and boarded the Martha Chase Smith for a 20 minute ride over to Islesford , a 14 mile long summer resident island 3 miles off the coast, the former playground of the rich and famous from Philadelphia, Boston and NYC. There were some mighty homes, but not on the scale of Newport RI.
The skies were threatening, but it wound up being just cloudy mostly.
Got to the Grindel Point Light house, and got a stamp, and a toy boat as well.
Did a spin around the island, found a toy boat, and then sailed back on the 1230 boat.
Tomorrow is a return visit down south to Rockland and Owls Head for lights and Blue Goose Stamps.
