Had an agressive schedule today, and got to most of it with some bonuses thrown in.
Started off with going back to Greenbelt Park and getting the stamps at Headquarters there, but the Ranger station was locked.
Then went to Rock Creek Nature Center, got 7 stamps there- then went to the Pierce Mill portion, but it was closed due to "staffing issues." The volunteer said she would send me the stamps-
Then made a quick decision to stop back in at Clara Barton and get a stamp I had missed the last time I was there in June, and got the stamp.
Then on down to the Great Falls Tavern location for the C & O canal, got two there.
Then to the downtown Georgetown VC for the C & O, got three there.
Then, I redid the Arlington National Cemetery, got 5 at the Cemetery Bookstore, and then went to 3 new locations, two sets at the Lee Mansion, Arlington House, for a total of 5, then also one for the Women in Military Service Memorial, which I did not know about earlier.
Then, I decided not to go to Great Falls, since it was 17 miles up river, and stopped in at Fort Dupont and got the two I missed yesterday.
Total of 26 for the day- good for me.
Since I got back to the coach at about 245, we decided to go ahead and move down to Clinton, MD., so I can grab three spots early in the morning, which are all in a 10 mile radius, then go down to La Plata, and get Thomas Stone, then go ahead on into Colonial Beach a day early.
Moving right along....
