Emergency trip for Deanna

We got a call Wednesday night at 8 pm that Deanna had been struck by a series of seizures and had been taken to Children's Hospital at Richland Memorial in Columbia SC.
We loaded up the motor home in record time, and headed up to Columbia, leaving St Augustine at about 9 pm-  Pulled into a Wal Mart at Harbison at about 0330, and got to the hospital at about 4 am.  We arrived to this:
For her protection, she had been put on life assist, and also had a tummy tube- Her breathing was acceptable- and her vitals were actually quite good.  They removed the tubes at 5pm the next day, after allowing her meds to drop off, and she woke up fairly well-  not happy with the tubes, and understandably not happy.
This morning on our return to the hospital, we were met with this:

She was remarkably cognizant, and seems not much worse for the wear, but clearly it is an incident.  There was a possiblity she would be bumped down to a regular room in the next 24 hours, and then home soon, if she continues her progress.

We opted to come over to Greenwood this afternoon, since Brandon has a soccer game, and we wanted to see the boys, so we are hear fixing to head to Emerald High in a bit.

Bad scare, but feel like the worst is behind us.  We'll stay here through the weekend, then stop  by Columbia Monday on our way back to St Augustine.
