Day 32 A super super day around San Antonio

After arriving and setting up at the Braunig Lake RV Resort-  about 1130, I headed into town to visit the San Antonio Missions National Park, which was a very nice visit.

Blogged about it over at the National Park site:

After that, I came back and picked up Bette, and we headed back down and found a 4th floor $10.00 parking spot at the Hilton Parking deck, and then we did the Riverwalk.  Hadn't done that for a while, last time was with the Kingstons.

We sat down at Joe's Crab Shack to try to have early dinner, but got up and walked out after 5 minutes with no one stopping by, and opted instead for Dick's Last Resort, which turned out to be a disaster.  Our steak was fatty, chewy, and not worth $19.95.  Blech......

Stopped by Hard Rock Cafe and got a pin on sale, but never did find a San Antonio pin-  Got back to the RV about 4:30-  What a perfect day!  The weather was the best we have had on the trip so far-  Mid 70's no humidity at all.

You can tell we are close to home-  Bette is really getting the itch to get back.

We're already almost 2 weeks ahead of schedule-  tomorrow, we're bypassing a previously planned trip up to Austin and Round Rock, and heading straight to Beaumont, where we will unhook and head up to the Big Thicket National Preserve, then we are heading over to Camp Wal Mart at Lake Charles, Louisiana, then the next day, we will work our way over to New Orleans.
