Day 31 Moving on, Moving on 2 Parks today

Today, we decided on an early start, so wheels up at 0630  over to Brownsville, to see the Palo Alto Battlefield site, then about 130 miles north up to Corpus Christi to see the Padre Island National Seashore.  We decided to stay here at Camp Wal Mart, since its only about 130 miles tomorrow to San Antonio, and we are about another three days ahead of schedule. 

Total milage today was 312- most of it in a brutal quartering headwind of 20-40 mph most of the day.  Milage dropped to 7.3 as a result.  Since it was Saturday, I had to pass up 3 baseball venues, oh well. 

Tomorrow is a short hop up to San Antonio, into a real campground, and we'll spend the night there, and do the San Antonio Missions NP.
