Saturday, July 16th 12 miles to Hart Ranch

We left Hartland about 11 am this morning, and cruised 12 miles or so up the road to our home for the next three nights, Hart Ranch Resort, which is just outside Rapid City South Dakota.  It is a sure enough 5 star resort here.  450 spaces, all paved, concrete, 50 amp, olympic pool, tennis, 3 hottubs, restaurant, huge gas station and c store, the works.  We have a nice site, totally level, shade tree, full sat, so all is good. 

Bette Judy and Bev went off to Wal Mart/Sam's Club to shop for our cookout tonight, with master griller Jerry doing the honors.  The kids are all at a water park for the day- hope they didn't get grilled, its like 95-98 degrees here today.

I ran up to Rapid City and found me a pair of good relatively inexpensive boots to replace the others that had fallen apart- so that's off the list. 

Getting daily updates on my brother in Atlanta who is seriously ill with lung problems, and he continues to yo yo back and forth.  He had yet another operation yesterday to try to help him drain fluids, so he's having a rough go of it. 

We are looking at the schedule from here on to August 6th, where we drop Brandon off at Chicago.  May tweak it a bit to catch up on some days, and smooth out what we originally put together.  Doing that this afternoon.

Tomorrow is a day trip down to some Dinosaur fossil beds.  Monday, we're down for Mt. Rushmore.  I'll post later tonight on the cookout.....
