We were lucky enough to be able to join Jerry and Judy for a visit with local friends of theirs, Paul and Bonnie, who have a home here that they visit seasonally. It is a marvelous home, and we were made to feel totally welcome.
Our hosts... they also live in the California desert, and maintain a home in Chicago. |
This is a statue they had commissioned on the property- as you can see, they are right on the beautiful Shoshone River, which was flowing quite rapidly. |
The view from the front of their property, believe this is called Castle Rock. |
The view across the river from the front of their property.... Awesome! |
This is called the Devil's Canyon Overlook at the park.
The girls went shopping... We had our next door neighbor come over and make a field repair to our VCR, and then I took all the assorted kids to see Transformers, while we parents went out to a delicious dinner at the Irma Hotel.
Tomorrow, we're joining everyone for a farewell breakfast, then heading over to a local Japanese Interment camp over towards Powell, Wyoming...
