Friday July 15th Jewel Cave, Wind Cave, and tonight Crazy Horse

We all slept in a little this morning, and after breakfast and showers, Bette and I saddled up for a trip to two National Parks, Wind Cave and Jewel Cave.  We went through Custer State Park to get to them, and saw lots of wildlife there.
Quick visits to the park, the one cave tour was not on because of a broken elevator, and the other was sold out.  We had lunch in Custer at the Subway, and got back to the coach by 2.  Brandon went swimming with our neighbors while we were gone.

Tonight, we are heading up to a local Pizza place for Spencer's 11th birthday, and then we are all headed up to the Crazy Horse Monument for the night laser show.  Ought to be fun.

View shot of the Black Hills in Custer State Park- Kind of hazy today!

One of many pronghorn antelope we saw today.....

Buffalo crossing the road in front of us, note the birds he is carrying along with him!

This nice fellow was spotted in a meadow, along with lots of prairie dogs all making quite a racket...

This young lady was muching by the side of the road- Notice she is wearing a radio collar!!! Seems to be rubbing her neck pretty bad.

Bette was sure I was going to hit this deer as it decided to cross the road in front of us- part of a pair- Missed em.

This was the boyfriend of the lady with the radio collar.
