We decided to drive to Metro Denver today to get in a few sights and do a chore, and got back in a bit of a rainstorm... it stopped for a while, and then I noticed what looked like snow flurries- sure enough, as I write this, it is Christmas in May here in Monument, Colorado! wasn't predicted, supposed to have been scattered thundershowers today, but trust me, its snowing and sticking- and it's a solid overcast, so we'll see how much sticks around! Luckily, we had an off day scheduled tomorrow, so we won't have to play in the snow so much.
We're right on the edge of the white band of snow, see if it moves this way....
As I said, today was metro Denver, about 50 miles up the road, and we did a 153 mile circle tour of the city...
Made 4 stops today, first the Auroro Co Flying J to return the malfunctioning Rand McNalley Truck GPS we purchased in Kansas, and they took it back with no questions, and with a smile on their face, so good on us. We are going to replace it with the newest model Garmin RV GPS that is scheduled to come out next month... Bette has already been in contact with the factory... it's supposed to have loads of features....

While Bette was doing the return, I spied the Mile High Harley Davidson dealership just up the road, so I quick got there and got a very nice dealership pin:
From there, we headed downtown to Coors Stadium, home of the Colorado Rockies, and got a ball and a very nice pin- they are out of town until next Tuesday....
Then, we headed home by way of Golden, Colorado for 2 stops, the Colorado Railroad Museum, and a tour of the Coors brewery.
The Railroad Museum was terrific! They have about 20 acres of old railroad machinery of all types, and a nice store, and downstairs, a huge HO layout.. We spent about 45 minutes going through it all, and found a nice denwarming present for our pals in El Dorado, Arkansas!
Then, a couple of miles down the road to the Coors Brewery, and did their tour- very interesting, this is the site of the single largest brewery operation in the world. I had forgotten that Coors and Millers had merged.... got a coors light pin in the gift shop...
These are the copper brewing kettles inside the tour, ahh, the smell of beer brewing!!!! Nice tour, and it was free.....
Well, now it is really really snowing... not sticking to the roads as yet, but steady coming down- we just cranked up the propane coach heat, the temps have really dropped.....

Wow. A big day. Enjoying your trip! My friends are in Utah at the National Parks and they also experienced snow today. Finally sunny and warm in Portland, Oregon.
