Our introduction to Acronicta Leprotina, or Miller's Moth ......

These are the little buggers that drove us nearly crazy during our stay at John Martin Resevoir-  the locals called them Millers, and we had no idea what they were talking about.  But I can vouch for the fact we killed nearly a hundred of these pesky little mothers during our two day stay....  Never saw them enter the coach, but all you had to do was turn on the lights....  There were literally hundreds of birds swarming around our campsite swooping in and lunching on the little monsters.... should have been a sign.  Nothing like experience.

Bette got a little unnerved today when she saw the bear proofed trash cans around our campground, and I told here threre were probably lots of snakes around.   We are in a beautiful natural setting, the smell of sage and pinion pine is intoxicating!!!!
