Take off in the morning

Didn't blog yesterday, because I was flat on my back in bed sick.  Everytime I come to California, I get sick!   It's an upper respiratory something. 

We got up a little later, packed, then took Mom out to Mimi's for lunch.  Then we did our hugs and kisses, and headed on down to San Diego.  We messed up getting to the Mariott Courtyard, so we had to make a bg loop. 

Then we decided to take the rental car back early, and of course we couldn't easily find the drop off for Enterprise at the airport.  I put in Enterprise on the GPS, and it took us out to Point Loma.  The folks there were as nice as they could be, and drove us back to the hotel!  Didn't have to fool with the shuttles.

They were also very very glad to get the car-  while we were being taken back to the hotel, they called and directed the young driver to pick up a rental customer at another hotel nearby. 

We have a really screwy flight plan for tomorrow, but it's what they put us on for the frequent flier points-  guess we have to fill up the planes.  We leave San Diego on a commuter jet, go to Los Angeles, change planes, then go to Chicago, sit for 3 hours, then fly a commuter jet to Jacksonville.  Hope our flight isn't delayed, as my pal Dan Kingston has graciously agreed to pick us up in JAX, at 1030 at night!

We're at the Mariott Courtyard Old town.  I managed to talk the desk person into a voucher for free breakfast tomorrow, which is a good thing.  We will then take the 7 am shuttle to the airport, and hope to gosh our bag makes it to Jacksonville!
