We passed a sign for Ft. Pulaski National Monument on the way to our campground this afternoon, so I decided to make it a stop over on the way into the baseball game tonight. As a result, I picked up 4 stamps for the Passport, one for Ft. Pulaski itself, one for the "Gullah-Geechie National Heritage Corridor", one for the Underground Railway Freedom Network, and one for the Cockspur Island Lighthhouse. Now up to 68 stamps. The boys had a good time crawling through the fortress, which was a key Civil War site. It's a beautiful drive on US 80 over to the Fort, which is located on a sea island. Also got a pin, and some postcards also. Friday, July 16, 2010
