3 National Parks today, and then a complete rainout.

We left Carrollton this morning at about 11, headed to Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park, spent some time there, boys ran up and down the mountain for a while, then over to the Chattahoochie National River Headquarters for a stamp and a pin, then down to downtown Atlanta to the Martin Luther King National Park.  Spent over an hour there, saw a very good movie showing  Dr King's life, then tried to go to Ebenezer Church, but it was closed for renovations, then visited his and Ms King's gravesites.  Then, we headed on out to our planned visit for 6 Flags amusement park, but just as we got out of the car to walk in, the skies totally opened up, and we got completely drenched.  So, we headed back to John Tanner.  Ugh.  We'll have to do 6 Flags on our return trip from Memphis.  Tomorrow, we're 100 miles or so up I-75 to Chattanooga Tennessee, to visit Ship's RV for annual maintanence on the coach.  I alloted 3 days for repairs, hope it takes only 2.  From there, it looks like we'll head directly to Memphis, rather than stop by Nashville and Jackson, as we originally planned.  Dante's sister Deanna is scheduled for her last round of chemo on July 26th, so we're most probably going to head on in directly so he can spend time with his sister, since he has to be back in Pomaria for some school business on August 2nd.  We may go ahead and stay at the state park in Memphis for a few days before heading over to the Thousand Trails campground that is about 50 miles or so from Memphis as we originally planned.
