We got started on our way home today for Greenwoood from north of Charlotte, at Mooresville. We headed down towards Charlotte on I-77 and immediately hit two slow patches, one for a wreck that was cleared to the side by the time we got to it, and the other delay was due to too much traffic, too many merges, and not enough lanes to handle it. It took us about an hour to get the 20 miles or so across Charlotte. It wound up being about 175 miles to Greenwood. We stopped at a McDonalds at a Love's for breakfast, and then had lunch at McAlister's when we got to Greenwood. For the day; 4 hours, 41 minutes total travel time, only a 45.8 moving average, due to the slow traffic near Charlotte. Top speed was 72.2 (Bette). We'll be here for two days, then Thursday morning, we're heading on down to Beaufort.
