450 miles almost to Charlotte

We originally planned to stop at Wytheville, Va, about 350 miles down from Aunt Skips, but it was only 330 when we got there, so we kept on chugging until we got down to MM 36 on I-77, just north of Charlotte. Good thing we did, because Bette's cousin Jamie lives 3 exits down, so we hooked up for dinner up the street at Applebe's. Jamie's wife is in Phoenix doing a big deal, so we had the high pleasure of dining with Jamie and his beautiful 2.5 year old daughter Brooklyn. She is amazing! Had a great meal, and then they came back to Camp Walmart for a tour and chat. Bette's watching Trauma, and I had waaay too much to eat, so I'm crashing real soon. We have about 140 miles or so tomorrow, and anxious to get back to Greenwood to see the grands. It was a beautiful travel day today, no hold ups on I-77 all the way down, and the trees are just now beginning to turn. Lots of splashes of color. Sadly, we saw the tail end of a two big truck crash on the way down, both units burned badly, one totally, have to check the papers tomorrow to see if anyone was hurt and how much. Northbound had lots of delays today.
