We dropped the motor home off for further list repairs this morning, and got an email back late this afternoon that we should have an update tomorrow around noon or so. So, on we go. Still don't have a definitive decision on what will be done vis a vis the roof, expect that in the update tomorrow. They have already described a worst case scenario of two weeks for roof replacement, if that is what is needed.
Bette and I got in touch with the Schmidts, our across the street neighbors in Florida, and they have a summer home in New Buffalo, Michigan, and they offered us to stay at a "cottage" a block from the shores of Lake Michigan. We had lunch and dinner with them, and toured one of their daughters properties here in town, which is a 1919 Frank Lloyd Wright house that is in the process of being refurbished. It is a magnificent home, and being done to the highest of standards. Their daughter is a very successful derivitive trader in Chicago, and has two properties here in town. New Buffalo is a resort area it seems for folks from Chicago. Mayor Daley has a home here.
