The Studebaker Museum- South Bend, IN.
This is a three story chronilogical exhibit of the story of the five Studebaker brothers, who started out as carriage makers, and then made some very fine automobiles for several years, before finally fizziling out in the late 60's. They were known for their distinctive styling, and they were extremely well-made cars. They had a very reliable engine, and were built by terrific craftsmen. The museum has several very interesting models, as well as several of them stored in the bottom level, that they pull out and rotate in the main displays from time to time. The bottom floor also has a display of some of the many military vehicles that came out of the Studebaker plants. This was really an enjoyable place to visit.
