Cataract Surgery done-

At 0600 this morning, rolled out of bed and got ready to make it to the outpatient surgery center by 0700, on time. The person that was supposed to be before me hadn't shown up, so they took me first. I refused the shot they wanted to give me for "anxiety" advising them that I wasn't anxious at all. The anesthesiologist was pretty skeptical, but we started the operation at about 0739. Turns out I wasn't anxious, and the doctors were surprised that I held my vital signs in check for the whole procedure. Good for me! It does not appear that I will be able to get away with not having to use "cheater" glasses to read so far, and I'm still way dialated, so I can't judge the effect on far vision yet, so I'll have to wait pretty much until tomorrow morning for that. I have an appointment with the eye dr. tomorrow at 0830.
I went to visit with the department head at Lander yesterday, and he offered me two classes for the next semester, to be taught entirely on-line. It's an experiment for the department and the college, and I'm glad to be the test case. Be nice to pick up a little chunk of change, and I can set my own hours pretty much. We'll see how it goes. I may have to come to Greenwood 2 days or so out of the semester to administer tests, since it has been proven we can't trust the students not to cheat in an on-line setting unfortunately, but that's fine, since I imagaine we'ed be up to Greenwood at least twice in four months anyway to visit with the family.
Bette made a sweet-smelling crock pot stew for tonight, yummy.
