Earlier this afternoon, our pals Bev and Dave stopped by to check out the home improvements, and helped us to noodle out our delimma with regard to the stained glass shop at St. Augustine. We had originally planned to rent a big U haul truck to schlep the stuff down, but Bev and Dave graciously agreed to haul a 6 x 12 trailer down behind their big F-350 dually truck for us! So, we will pack our stuff a little this weekend, then get back down to Florida and try to fully set up the shop area to receive the stuff we bring down. That offer will save us over $100, plus what we were going to pay for gas, and a hired hand to help us load and unload. Super!
Secondly, we got an acceptable offer today for almost the entire contents of our big storage building! We really thought the lady would not meet our price, but she did, and so now we will save the almost $500 we were paying on the storage building, plus, we finally will be rid of junk we have moved around at least 10 times or so. Huzzah!!!!
So, we've got a little running around back and forth to do, but this is the absolute best solution for two of the most nagging problems we were having involving the Florida purchase. It will be a win win all the way around.
That being said, we really worked hard today to eliminate lots of junk from three locations, and we got lots done. We are finally making progress on getting major clutter out of our lives. Now, of course, the trick will be to not accumulate it going forward.
