Slow recovery, soccer, sunny.

Now third morning after from surgery. Really stuffy, lots of drainage, not very comfortable, some soreness, but tolerable, I guess. Apparently he stuck some plastic retainers in the nose that will add to the discomfort, think I had them before, but just have to live with it.

Bette joined me for a nice lunch up at Lander today. They really do have good food there. We're thinking about going to Sunday brunches with Bev and Dave soon. It's already mid-point of the semester, so time is flying. Get paid tomorrow, more fuel money for the trip.

Come to think of it, I'm also supposed to get my very first social security check any day now also. Talk about the rite of passage.

Still not getting much sleep, maybe 2-3 hrs a night. I'm going to take my CPAP machine back today to get my new mask retrofitted- see it that makes things more comfortable.

Two of my exchange students joined us last night for Brandon's soccer game, they enjoyed it. Thor is from Norway, Shay is a Pakistani, Canadian citizen, who lives in Florida, both are on the tennis team at Lander, outstanding students and pretty fair country tennis guys. Brandon's team lost btw, 3-1, but he got the only goal, in the first minute of the game, actually.
This is the last week of the season, then we start in with Upward Church league basketball for Cooper and maybe Brandon also. Don't think Sara Palin has it all for soccer mom/hockey mom.

Did I mention that my Gateway laptop is out of commission, currently at the repair center in Louisville, thinking it will be trashed, with a bad hard drive, a bad CD drive, a bad keyboard, and a bad mother board too boot. Guessing they will be offering me a new one in trade, or at least a pro-rated exchange. We got a new ACER to have as a back up- nice machine, uses Vista, which I was thinking I wouldn't like, but so far no major complaints. No crashes yet, anyway. Fingers crossed.

Beautiful weather this week, should hold out for a while they say.
