As we sometimes do, we got a wild hair last night after leaving Tuxbury and arriving at Sturbridge, MA at 3 on Tues afternoon, 2 days ahead of schedule, we drove to Scotrun PA Wednesday, also arriving at 3, then after the boys used up a rain check they had for the local swim park, we decided to head for home. 763 miles and about 14 hours later, we happily pulled into Greenwood., at 11:30 this morning. A great trip, with lots of memories.
We'll be here for a few days, catching up on local things, then head most likely up to Carolina Landing for a visit with Kippy and Dan Kingston- We may also head up to Tennessee or the NC mountains to find a shangri-la place for the two of us.
Bette scheduled her back surgery for August 25th today, and we figure 4-5 months down time with that. I start back at Lander on 2 September, so were all meshed and ready for local trips from Sept to December, then we'ed like to head to Texas gulf coast for Jan- then maybe to the left coast- we'll see.
I'll post randomly for the next few days until we hit the road again.
