Today, we headed over to Madison Ga, about 20 miles to the East of us. Madison is famous for not being burned as Sherman marched to Savannah, supposedly because the mayor of the town was a northern sympathyser, or something along that line. The Courthouse, which is a 1905 building, is very pretty, much mahogany inside. Cooper made friends with a desk corporal from the Sheriff's office, and got a tour-
He was even allowed to sit in the judge's chair. He actually got to meet and talk to a judge, who had just finished session for the day- He was a Citadel graduate. Cooper learned a lot about the court system.
