August 5th Over to Anza-Borrego State Park, and back to Julian..

Got up early, showered early, and left early for the desert to get stamps and revisit Anza-Borrego State Park, which we used to go to 50-60 years ago!
Stopped by Julian on the way back to get Brian's socks.  

About 68 miles one way, got home by 2 or so, before it got too hot!  112 out and Borrego Springs today. Sweet views on the way over, climbed up to 4000 feet before dropping into the desert.

We originally couldn't find the VC, but I talked Bette into going back, not very well signed!

Also got postcards to send.  

On the way back, stopped in Julian to eat lunch, and got nephew Brian his socks!

Tomorrow is a rest day, then Tuesday, we will drive on down to Pio Pico in Jamul to take a look around.  May go back to Mom's over the weekend.
