On Friday the 27th, Bette and I headed 17 miles or so up the road to Julian Ca., to stop and get Mom a pie, (cherry) since we were visiting her for the weekend.
Julian is a quaint old town, lots of history there. Spent an hour or so sitting at the Julian Pie Co., talking with an ex-Marine, who was a nice fellow. Later on, we went shopping for not much, I got postcards, and 3 pins.
Saw this for Brian, the king of Dad jokes on Facebook. Have to go back and get them for him.
On Saturday, we went to Lunch at Hunters, and split a prime rib. Yummy!
Today, we went down to Alpine to Albertson's for provisions. Spent 62+$. Needed everything we got though.
Will rest up until the weekend, then head to Anza-Borrego State Park, where we used to take day trips when we lived at Pendleton. In the meantime, may run back up to Julian to get Brian's sox.
