October 7th Trip change today.....

Because of the impending Hurricane Nate, we got booted out of Mississippi, and have decided instead to head to Montgomery Alabama.  We will stop as planned in Slidell, La at a Wal Mart, then unhook, and head to a SE Regional NWR complex to pick up 8 Blue Goose Stamps, then head the 265 miles or so to Montgomery.  We are scheduled for 5 days at Gunter Hill COE- which is a water/electric hookup, no sewer deal. Also no SAT TV.   But relatively cheap!

Turned out the SE Regional NWR Complex was closed for the hurricane,  Grrrrr.

For the day, 331 miles total- max 67, mov avg. 56 overall avg 41, 7.9 mpg consumption, 41 gals used.

We have lots of plans for the Montgomery area, plus the Selma to Montgomery NST, and Tuskegee Institute and Tuskegee Airman NHS as well.  May also get to Auburn if time permits.

Closed for the hurricane!

Good plate hunting today...

Probably just rest tomorrow, need to do planning and some Lander work.

Saw this water tower today, plus a fair amount of shrines along the way:
