Because of the need for repairs, we dropped 2 planned stamp stops, and headed directly to Camping World in Katy Texas. They were able to get us in, and we had the city water supply repaired, the turn signals repaired, and a new item, the gas door panel screws replaced. Arrived at 0930, out at 5. Dropped $1080 on the repairs.
Did a couple of things we don't normally do- drive at night (arrived in Sulphur at 9:30 pm, and it rained some on the way over. Also, made a wrong turn, and wound up loosing some time in downtown Houston. Also hit a bit of rush hour traffic.
Decided to head to Sulphur La, where we at Camp Wal Mart.
275 miles for the day: max speed 67- moving average 52. Gas consumption 7.8 mpg avg, 35 gals used.
Tomorrow looks like a stamp stop or two, then down to Bayou Segrette State Park in New Orleans, where we have stayed before. Lots of trips planned for NOLA...
This was on Don Dowling's car at lunch today. We had a nice lunch in Pearland TX.
