October 10th Back home, dodged a bullet.....

Made the trip in from Lake City on Saturday morning, everything was pretty much in order at Coquina.  Lots of wind damage, we had a 3 foot section of flashing ripped off, which our neighbor Gene graciously came down and repaired for us.  Several folks had tree damage, and some flooding took place.

Wal Mart was for sure a parking lot.

Storm working its way up the coast.  we had maybe 30 mph winds, and lots of rain.

Got caught up on my Lander stuff today, had to have mid terms graded and grades turned in, which I got done. Bette is going out to lunch with the across the street neighbor today, and we went out for lunch yesterday with the McCaws, at Crispers.  Liked that pretty fine.

The Fort seemed to have lots of damage to the HQ at least, and no power so far.  The downtown area stunk with sewage from the overflow and storm drain backup.

Folks will be spending the next few days mopping up from local damage.  Some repairs to bridges and roadway may take months.
