August 30th Boston Blitz today!

Got on the train at 0830  Got to Boston about 0945 or so.  Then I walked, and walked, and walked!

My fit bit said almost 20,000 steps, and about 9+ miles!

Saw this plate today....

After I arrived, I headed over to Bunker Hill/Charlestown Navy Yard. Got stamps at both- had to go back to the Navy Yard VC because I missed a stamp.  Saw several markers- then rode the boat on down to Faneuil Hall.  By now it was lunchtime, but I resisted the high prices and ate at Subway.  Then, I walked the Freedom Trail over to the Old State House, the Village Green, the Boston African American Museum, then reversed my route back to Faneuil l Hall.  Then I took the subway back to North Station, then caught an earlier train home. Just a terrific day, weather was perfect!  Pretty much bypassed the North End this time. 

Saw lots of monuments and markers!

Bette picked me up, got home, and did Lander work until about 930, then crashed!  Day off today.
