12 Miles to Long County Ga and Ludowici

The last time I was in Ludowici Ga, I was hitch hiking from Savannah Ga., with Billy Arnold who was a football player at Newberry College, and we were on our way to Athens, Ga.  I spent the night in Kirby Smart's room- he was a quarterback at Ga., and has recently been named the head coach at the school, replacing Marc Ricth.  The guy we hitched a ride with was pretty drunk, and we got stopped in town.  Got taken to a Judge, who slapped a $300 fine on the guy, which was all the cash he had, and told us to drive.  Small world!  As mentioned, 12 miles to town:

First was a nice tower:

Several markers in the area as well:
The Courthouse
This was one of 2 markers about the Altahama Bridge

The other one.
This was out of town a bit.  Had to argue with the GPS on this one to return to town- it wanted to take me about 12 miles in a circle to get back to town, which was .5 miles away.  I won.

The Mural in this marker was on a building not far from the courthouse.
