August 9th Good news, bad news, and another Peter Wolf Toth sculpture

Got up early, as directed, to head down to the town dock, for a 930 am sailing, only to be told when I arrived that they were probably not sailing since they had to have 20 minimum, and they only had 13-  never mentioned that when I checked, nor on their web site-

I explained to her that I had driven from Florida, and was there any way I could get the stamps, since I had been on the tour before, and forgotten my passport, and to her credit, she said yes!  I was able to get stamps for 8 lights!

On the way back, I shopped in downtown Bar Harbor, didn't buy anything, but got two Acadia NP stamps, one for Village Green, and one for Thompson Island.

Also got a view of another Peter Wolf Toth sculpture, at the Bar Harbor Campground!

Scorecard for the day:

 Mileage  64
Lighthouse stamps gotten  8-  Mt Desert Rock, Petit Mahan, Winter Harbor, Bear Island, Baker Island, Bass Head Harbor (2nd stamp), Egg Rock, Great Duck Island
National Parks visited 1 Acadia
National Parks stamps collected  2  Acadia Village Green, Acadia Thompson Island
Roadside oddities seen   1- Peter Wolf Toth Sculpture  2nd so far.

Got back to the coach by 1030, and this afternoon, we're running up to Hermon, Maine, about 40 miles or so to have supper with Wendy and Steve Cole!

Met up with the Coles and checked out their nice new home they built, and went out to Angler's for a super dinner-  Steve and I had haddock, Bette Prime Rib, and Wendy lobster roll.  We all cheated and had deserts too!
