From Trenton and visiting Philly, we headed down to Patapsco Valley State Park in Ellicott City Md, outside the beltway, for a three day visit. During our stay, I got over to Annapolis, and we did some Inner Harbor things, and also an Orioles ball game.
Then, a day and a half in DC- we changed our plans to head to Prince William Forest Park, which has added some larger spaces with full hook ups and 50 amp, but it was $54 a night....
That afternoon, I squeezed in a couple of spots for stamps- Then on Saturday morning a couple of more, then back to pick up Cooper and Bette and we all headed down to Stafford Va to visit with senior grandson Dalton and his lovely wife- toured Marine Corps Schools Quantico, where Dalton works at HMX-1, on among other things, the Presidential Helicopters. Requires top secret clearance! Very impressed with his maturity level- he and Al'yssa are very happy, and will soon start a new chapter as he exits the Marine Corps, and continues his education. Wish them well.
That afternoon, we decided to go ahead and head back to Carolina like we almost always do, leaving Prince William at 330- drove to 2230 stopping at Mebane, NC, then up this morning, off at 0715, arriving here at Saddle Hill about 1230. Cooper is glad to be home.
While we are here, we will attend to some Lander business, get Buster groomed, have dinner with friends, and I have a long visit planned to 96 Historical Site.
Planning on leaving for Florida early Wednesday morning, then Sunday, head down to Alliance to have a few service items done on the coach, after trip end.
Will post photos later, have to go and get burgers for dinner tonight, Tony is grilling.....
