May 14th Then the Old Live Oak City Hall

At 212 N. Ohio Avenue downtown, this was the Live Oak City Hall, Police Department, Fire Department, and Jail House.  The tower was used as a lookout for fires in town.  There are still two jail rooms intact.  There is a Florida Trail marker here, and the location is listed on both the State and National Register of Historic Places.  It also houses the Suwanee County Chamber of Commerce, where I met up with a nice young fellow who happily worked with me on historical stuff in the county.
