April 29th An old mom and pop store near Mays Crossroads SC on the way to Saluda

Passed by this spot 50 times or more, and been meaning to stop and take a shot-  it's typical of the old "mom and pop" stores I used to service when I worked at a wholesale grocers in the 60's back in Newberry when I was going to college. The rural landscape is littered with these old stores, most of them shuttered.  Pretty sure this one dates back to the 30's or 40's, judging from the older gas pump.  

31.9 cents a gallon!  Must be 1962!!
