April 23 3 post offices today

Got to 3 post offices today for visit and cancellation collecting:

First was the Abbeville SC Post office:

Then down some back roads to the very small Mt. Carmel SC Post Office, where I had an interesting chat with the postmistress, she said they were only going to be open 4 hours a week soon, letting her go, and then only opening the building for 4 hours a week, staffing it with clerks from Greenwood.  The clerks aren't happy about doing the work, and have filed a grievance with the union. Perfect.  No wonder Fed Ex and UPS is eating the USPS lunch.  

The post office was just built in 2008.
