From Alley Spring, we did about 80 miles over to a Wal Mart at Poplar Bluff, then about a half mile to a National Forest Office for a Trail of Tears stamp- then we fueled up at the Wal Mart, then about another 200 plus miles on up to Carlyle Lake. We also stopped in at Marion, Il. for a baseball stop for the Southern Illinois Miners. Did get a ball and pin- 2 pins actually, since they were league champs last year of the Frontier League. We also ate lunch in their parking lot. Nice easy drive on mostly four lane roads today, and then we had a bit of an adventure finding the park, but we got in ok, we changed spots so we could get TV, and have good 50 amp power, but no water!!! Oh well, just 9.00 a night for the next 3 nights.
Tomorrow is Metro St Louis, including a Cardinals game, then Thursday is a trip to Springfield Ill, to see the Abraham Lincoln stuff there and the state capitol.
Here is my seats btw for the Cards game tomorrow, 5th row. Yay me!!!
