We did flip plans today!!

We did hear from Kirsten and Savannah at 0815 this morning, so we changed plans, and flipped our day from tomorrow. 

Savannah was in the process of moving in to her off campus apartment, as she is a rising Junior at Tulane University. 

We got over to her place before 9, and helped them load in a new bed they had purchased on Craig's list, and then we headed over to downtown to have coffee and beignets at Café du Monde- which we went to the River Walk, not the downtown location. 

The River Walk shopping complex, by the way, was the scene of a major wreck between a large ship containing grain, which had lost its steering, and crashed into the complex at a fairly high rate of speed.

Kirsten had to catch a plane back to Durham/Raleigh, so we dropped her off at 1130, then took Savannah over to Wal Mart and got her a blender for a house-warming present.  

Tomorrow, I will run over to Thibodaux to visit with the Acadian Culture Museum.
